Testimonial from last year’s retreat

“Being a yoga rookie with less than 3 months experience and with no knowledge of Ayurveda at all, I knew when I read that the weekend was going to be "for exploring the concept of the perfect Yoga Practice for your Dosha", I was headed either for confusion or a learning experience! Well it most certainly turned out to be the latter. We had Perry and Denise as our teachers: Perry was the Ayurveda and meditation specialist. She has a passionate understanding of Ayurveda and spirituality, combined with a deceptively easy teaching style that you almost don't realise you are learning, but you are. Denise was the "rock star" yoga teacher! Denise imparts yoga teachings in an inspiring and compassionate manner. Under her skilful guidance, you are safely challenged to find new levels in your yoga practice, while the spiritual wisdom she shares in each session give you insights to yourself and life.  I came home feeling uplifted and rejuvenated, nurtured inside out, and you know something, I now know what is the perfect Yoga Practice for my Dosha! “

The weekend will be facilitated by Perry Macdonald, an Ayurveda Practitoner who also lectures and teaches Ayurveda nutrition.

Perry Macdonald Perry Macdonald NZCS, Naturopath Diploma, Certificate of Ayurveda Lifestyle Consultancy, Diploma of Ayurveda Medicine. Running an Ayurvedic clinic form her home in Milford, Perry also teaches Ayurvedic Nutrition and cooking, plus fundamentals of Ayurveda at Wellpark College. She utilises her Ayurvedic knowledge and naturopathic background, to provide a well rounded and practical approach to health.

Denise Ferguson Denise Ferguson was introduced to her first Vinyasa Flow Yoga class in Aspen Colorado, USA. Injury from an active lifestyle led her to Yoga, however the challenge in mind and body leading to more focus and clarity, kept her coming back. After practicing regularly at the studio O2 Aspen, Yoga became an integral part of life, and she felt inspired to share the experience with others. She received her teaching qualification at Corepower Yoga in Denver, Colorado and teaches a compassionate class which is peppered with words of wisdom. Her objective as a teacher is one of service and she holds true to the knowledge passed down to her "teach to honour the student, never oneself".
